Ye Olde Mill Just south of Utica Village, Ohio, an inspiring scene exists which features the barn-beamed Ye Olde Mill with its two weather vanes both shaped into sheaves of wheat. These signify the mill's original purpose of grinding grain. The 8000 pound, bronze-colored water wheel measures 18 feet, 4 inches, and revolves continuously as water makes its way from the family-owned Velvet Ice Cream plant next door. Four generations of the Dager family have owned and expanded the business since 1917. Visitors can view the state's only ice cream museum inside the mill and watch ice cream being made at the plant.
