The Mimslyn Inn is nestled in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Luray, Virginia. Construction of this grand inn began in 1930. After the death of Mr. Henry Brooks Mims in 1922, his wife Elizabeth and the Mims children carried on the family tradition of the innkeeping. Henry and Elizabeth had operated the Laurance Hotel and the Mansion Inn, and their interests were continued when the Mimslyn, an Architectural masterpiece, was built. Guests were first received on May 22, 1931, and were treated to the finest hospitality, as are the guests today who are welcomed by the current owners, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Alexander who purchased The Mimslyn in 1987.
